I accompanied Tom Roberts and Fred Closuit  to a contract negotiation meeting with Chesapeake Energy today Jun. 5. It sounds to me like we are just about to attain our major goals that we have been  talking about for a year and a half.

I am untrained in drilling technology but I was impressed by the complexity of Chesapeake’s problem in deciding the best and most efficient way to explore a given chunk of land like Crestwood. They are drilling million dollar holes and mistakes are not allowed for them or us.

We are indeed lucky to have Tom and Fred as our neighbors to guide us in getting the best deal in this three dimensional chess game of urban drilling. If we had to hire their level of expertise, it would have cost us plenty. Thanks Tom and Fred.

There are still some things to resolve but it shouldn’t be long now .
